Hydra Funding Turns Four

Where we started

Hydra Funding opened in 2022 selling challenge accounts, the same model almost every firm ran at the time. Traders passed an evaluation, and only then received a funded account.

Over the next three years we moved the whole lineup the other way. Futures joined Forex and Crypto in April 2025. Instant Lite arrived that November. In March 2026 we stopped selling challenges altogether, and in August Instant Lite extended to 400k, the largest account we offer.

Four years in, the thing we are most pleased about is not the lineup. It is that we have paid traders in 36 countries, every month, since 2022. You can see the full rule structure in the instant funding account builder before you buy anything.

GROS ISLET, Saint Lucia, 19 October 2026. Hydra Funding turns four this month. It began in 2022 with challenge models and now sells instant funding accounts only, funded from day one.

The lineup runs on the Unified Hydra Ruleset: one published rule structure across every market and size. Every account carries a 4% trailing drawdown on closed balance, raised to 6% with the +2% add on, and a 3% daily loss limit.

Three models, three markets

Instant Lite: 5k to 400k, $29 to $1,599, with a 15% Best Day rule and a 5% buffer: the first 5% of gains stays with the account, and gains above the buffer are withdrawable.
Instant Prime: 10k to 100k, $99 to $999, with a 50% Best Day rule and an 8% buffer.
Instant Pro: 10k to 100k, $1,900 at 100k, with no buffer and a 25% Best Day rule.

All three are sold on Forex, Crypto and Futures, from 5k on Forex and Crypto and 10k on Futures. Futures is intraday only and carries a $29/month platform fee after the first 30 days, covering CME data and platform costs. The Trader Payout is 75%, or 90% with an add on.

Instant Lite's $399 is the lowest list price among the four instant funding crypto accounts at 100k in Hydra Funding's crypto prop firm comparison, verified 19 October, where the range runs to $1,199. Four years

Hydra Funding has been paying traders for four years, with Trader Payouts made to traders in 36 countries. Futures joined Forex and Crypto in April 2025, Instant Lite arrived in November 2025, the lineup moved to instant funding only in March 2026, and Instant Lite reached 400k in August 2026. What does the Unified Hydra Ruleset mean?

The Unified Hydra Rule Set is the single set of trading and account rules that applies across every Hydra instant funded account — Lite, Prime, and Pro. Same 3% daily max loss, same 4% max trailing drawdown, same 1% minimum withdrawal, same 75% standard / 90% add-on payout split, same standardized add-on options (90% payout, +2% Max Drawdown, weekend holding, Payout Protection).

The differences between tiers are deliberate and limited to two specs:

Profit buffer: 5% Lite / 8% Prime / 0% Pro
Best Day Rule: 15% Lite / 50% Prime / 25% Pro

Everything else is identical across the product family. Most prop firms use different rule structures for different products, which creates confusion at the worst possible moment — when a trader needs to know their rules without ambiguity. Hydra has built one rule set so you always know where you stand, regardless of which account you're on.

Which model should I pick?

Instant Lite. For traders who want an affordable entry into Instant Funding. Lowest price, 5% buffer, sizes from 5k to 400k.

Instant Prime. For traders whose profit comes in fewer, bigger days. 50% Best Day rule, the loosest we offer.

Instant Pro. For traders who want the shortest path to payout. No profit buffer means first dollar counts.

How long does the sale run?

Do sale accounts have different rules?

No. An account bought on sale carries exactly the same rules as any other, and the rules of an account never change after purchase.
